We are conducting a search for an Insider Threat Analyst to support the cybersecurity team of a large federal agency. The candidate will experience an unparalleled enterprise environment with 100s of 1000s of personnel and 100s of IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- The Insider Threat Analyst will be responsible for conducting user activity monitoring (UAM) event analysis and/or related cybersecurity analysis of information supporting the Insider Threat mission.
- Conduct investigations by analyzing and verifying information through various investigative techniques, internal resources, and conversations/interviews with persons of interest.
- Execute, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Insider Threat Program.
- Complete written reports in compliance with current reporting procedures and policies.
- Manage high risk information security incidents by working in conjunction with response partners and other risk teams.
- Utilize next generation tools and technology to conduct deep behavioral analytics assessments/ investigations with a focus on mitigating information security related insider threats.
- Providing on-call duties and support which may include after-hours support and coordination among GIS response teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands on experience with data analytics tools used for Insider Threat information collection or computer networks or knowledge of other Insider Threat risk scoring data analytics tools/programs.
- Self-directed and self-motivated with ability to perform and complete tasks with minimal guidance.
- Must have the ability to write detailed, concise, and accurate reports
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, processes, and procedures.
