Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with clients, leadership and project teams to support the framework, structure and processes for research and planning.
- Assist with identifying best-practice and client metrics to define in front-end planning sessions with client, monitor application of metrics throughout project life cycle, and develop pre and post-occupancy surveys and studies that collect the required data and measure outcomes.
- Support strategic planning, master planning, and feasibility study project teams. Help facilitate front-end visioning and planning workshops, focus groups, and data-review sessions with clients.
- Work with clients to connect meaning to the data outcomes by understanding how they use and operate their space and helping devise ways for them to meet their future goals from a human factors' perspective.
- Collaborate in project teams to create data and space visualizations that tell the story of the current and/or future operations.
- Lead space utilization analyses to inform master plans. Analyze data and produce meaningful metrics that support informed recommendations to the client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science, informatics, industrial engineering, business, design, human factors, applied analytics, operations research, computer science, or other related degree required.
- Three years of recent and relevant experience in data analysis, research, human factors, performance management, statistics, architecture and design, or equivalent required.
- Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau and/or other data and analytics tools required.
- Experience with research data collection tools, such as surveys, focus groups, interviews, observations, process mapping, value stream mapping, or equivalent required.
- Experience in data and analytics, with ability to identify appropriate tools and methods to analyze and visually communicate different types of business problems.
- Background in architecture and design preferred with the ability to apply data metrics and visualizations to buildings and campuses. Ability to connect the data with a deeper understanding of how clients use space and how their space could better serve them.
