Construction Manager / RPR

Huitt-Zollars has an immediate full-time opportunity for three Professional Civil Engineers to manage transportation related construction, engineering and inspection projects as Construction Managers/Resident Project Representatives in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Construction Manager, Resident Project Representative and/or senior construction management staff for transportation assignments involving heavy civil construction for various clients in Texas
• Manage all aspects of transportation related construction projects; which includes managing sub-consultants
• Develop and retain clients
• Assist in preparing responses to Requests for Qualifications
• Recruit and maintain database of available resources for staffing projects
• Work from existing Huitt-Zollars offices in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Austin

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas or within 3 months of hire
• TxDOT Precertification 11.1.1 and 11.2.1, prior to or within 3 months of hire
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing roadway and bridge construction

• Proficient in client required software (TxDOT's SiteManager, NTTA EPDS, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and make significant, effective decisions
• Demonstrate ability to organize an entire project scope
• Demonstrate sound judgment in making recommendations that benefit the project and client
• Familiarity with TxDOT Highway construction is preferred
• Construction Management certification from a recognized organization (CMCI, DBIA, etc.) is a plus
