Chief Engineer

General Job Description:

Weigel Broadcasting Co. has an immediate opening for a Chief Engineer at our South Bend, IN station group. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Grass Valley or Harris Video Servers, Telestream transcoding systems, small-medium scale newsroom SAN based edit systems, broadcast systems integration, and newsroom automation.

Requirements:

Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for job, if not currently employed by Weigel Broadcasting Co.

Must have previous management experience with projects involving multiple staff members and hard deadlines.

Flexible hours a must.

Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in broadcast or cable network engineering.

Working TV transmitter/RF knowledge helpful but not required. Strong file based editing workflow skills are a must.
