The Preparedness Planning, Business Continuity, and IT Disaster Recovery Team is responsible for developing CISO's capability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from any event that disrupts normal operations.
- Develop and support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans for multiple enterprise programs and systems.
- Maintain Functional Continuity Plans and location specific Business Continuity Plans in accordance with USPS standards.
- Coordinate the review, maintenance and testing of products and department Business Continuity Plans, working with business owners to ensure these plans remain valid and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate the review, maintenance and testing of technology Disaster Recovery Plans for core infrastructure services, working with IT technicians and Infrastructure management to ensure these plans remain valid.
- Develop the emergency communications system used by CISO and ensure that all staff are appropriately covered by this system. Conduct regular testing to validate the effectiveness of this system.
- Work with functional partners to manage incidents that affect or may affect business operations.
- Promote awareness of Business Continuity policy, standards, plans, processes and arrangements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of broad range of Business Continuity experience, ideally in the Information Technology or Information Security sector.
- String technical writing expertise.
- One or more of the following certifications: Certified Business Continuity Manager (CBCM), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (C/DRE), Certification of the BCI (CBCI), or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
- Ability to work well in a strong collaborative team-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively present information to, and interact well with, different levels of the organization.
- Very strong communication and in-person interaction skills.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Cybersecurity domain expertise and experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with model-based processes.
- Knowledge of the CERT-RMM processes.
- Experience working in a CMMI and/or ISO certified environments.
- Prior experience developing DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) solutions for enterprise systems.
Required Clearance:
Candidates must be able to obtain a Postal Sensitive Clearance (US Citizenship or Green Card required). Additionally, candidates must not have traveled outside of the USA for a combined period not to exceed 6 months within the last 5 years.
