Website Manager and Administrator

The College is currently seeking a Website Manager & Administrator to provide updating, operations, coordination, training and SEO support for ACOG's website,, as part of providing an informational resource and fostering member engagement for ACOG's 58,000 members (ob-gyn physicians and women's health care providers). S/he will manage website content publishing and editing, provide troubleshooting, and handle requests and questions about the website from staff and members while providing an exceptional level of customer service. S/he will also handle training and coordination for website content editors across the organization and play an integral role in website SEO. This position reports to the Director of Website & Digital Communications and is part of the Marketing and Communications Department.




  • Publish daily website content updates to the website using the CMS (SiteCore) or custom coding/HTML. Regularly review content to ensure timeliness and accuracy and work with internal teams to remove outdated content and images
  • Support, train and answer inquiries from internal website editors/users of the content management system (SiteCore) including basic troubleshooting and permissions via email and conversations
  • Identify and resolve website bugs including creating work tickets that document problems and proposing solutions, working with project managers and technology team to resolve problems, and assisting in testing site enhancements
  • Develop website processes for updating content and other functions. Prepare and test related documentation for use by technical and non-technical staff
  • Work with the Technology team to provide front end coding as needed for new CMS templates and/or when functionality is integrated into the website
  • Support SEO efforts, including leading related technical efforts as well as writing/completion of meta data
  • Working in conjunction with Marketing, provide support to the department with graphics, photos and multimedia needs including selection and sizing of photos
  • Review web analytics reports to develop support for improvement/ bug fix recommendations
  • Assist in developing website goals, evaluating the website's effectiveness and in planning for improvements


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other applicable field
  • 3+ years of experience working as an administrator with content management systems (SiteCore highly preferred), including using workflow/document management and providing training and support to non-technical end users. Must demonstrate proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop and Adobe Create Suite, and Microsoft Office programs
  • Hands-on experience working with web analytics systems (Google Analytics preferred)
  • Excellent oral, written and listening communications skills, with ability to communicate effectively with non-technical team members. Experience and/or ability to train internal clients to use the CMS and other website functionality/systems/processes to internal clients
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and troubleshooting technical website issues
  • Excellent customer service manner and orientation
  • Highly organized, especially with digital information, with ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Overall editorial skills/experience to offer content quality control as well as basic knowledge of design principles and usability a plus
