Technical Planner

Technical Planner to support the FIO OCF team providing technical planning and coordination for multiple projects to include scheduling, tracking and follow-up reporting.  The Technical Planner must be an independent self-starter that can identify possible conflicts or problems and make recommendations for meeting milestone dates.

This position is located at the Norfolk Navy Base, Building Z133 and support FIO OCF team lead.  The Technical Planner will Interface with the Alteration Installation Mangers, advance-planning and Task Order (TO) Team is required.  The Technical Planner will be responsible for developing Request for Service forms, POA&Ms and submits to the FIO Advance Planning.  Maintain the records and modify POA&Ms and Request for Service Actions base on consultations with government personnel.  Must be able to multi task and track several projects that are being worked at the same time.  The Technical Planner will be responsible for developing in-briefs, Ready to Start Briefs (RTS) and provide inputs to the Task Order (TO) Team.  Advise government personnel on status, progress and options for corrective actions or process improvements.

Designations/Certifications:  Active Secret Clearance is required.

Knowledge:  Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.

Experience:  Ten (10) years of direct work experience with C4ISR Systems.  Eight (8) years of direct work experience, to include: Design, Development, Production, Installation, and Test & Evaluation of C4ISR Systems. Four (4) years as manager of PEO C4I Program of Record Systems, to include: Supervising Project Personnel, Scheduling Work, Writing Proposals and Preparing Bids, and Equipment and Material Logistics Control. Note: Experience may be concurrent.  Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.

Education:  PMP, BA or higher in Management
