Senior System Analyst

JOB TITLE: Senior System Analyst


This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Capabilities Development & Integration Directorate (CDID) Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Capability Managers (TCMs) coordinate and integrate doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) issues and materiel solutions across current and future Army organizations.


Provide expertise to the U.S. Army to ensure the system integration, functional integration, and life-cycle system management of current and future capabilities by developing and coordinating doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF) activities. Specific tasks:

  • Understand capability, doctrine, and training developer requirements to include user interface, data and interoperability exchange requirements to enable the transfer of situational awareness, tracking data, engagement status, and kill assessments between shooters, sensors, and mission command, other Army and Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems and external command, control, and communications networks.
  • Assist the near term activities to focus all DOTMLPF domains on transforming from system centric processes to a Net centric approach to provide warfighters' capabilities and in the preparation of configuration review board packages, new equipment training (NET), development of concepts of employment (CONEMP) for new or emerging capabilities, and assist the combat developer in evaluation of system capability during tactical events.
  • Prepare TRADOC position, obtain TRADOC approval, and participate in Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) related decision reviews (In Progress Review (IPR)/Army Systems Acquisition Review Council/Army Requirements Oversight Council/Joint Requirements Oversight Council/Defense Acquisition Board) for assigned systems.
  • Participate in SHORAD system concept, cost performance trade-off and cost as an independent variable analyses by providing detailed warfighting capability impact of specific system characteristics.
  • Monitor and synchronize all aspects of SHORAD system development, test and evaluation, corrective actions, acquisition, materiel release, and fielding, including direct interaction with the program/project/product managers and materiel developers (MATDEVs) of the primary and ancillary system(s), test community, and fielding/gaining commands.
  • Analyze all SHORAD Program Objective Memorandum and Weapons System Reviews for all assigned SHORAD systems and coordinate/facilitate discussions among combat, materiel, and training developers, ASA(ALT), and G3/G8.
  • Coordinate demonstration of SHORAD operational capability into Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), Concept Experimentation Programs, Joint Warfighting Assessments (JWA), or Capabilities Information Exchanges (CIEs).


Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active SECRET Clearance.
  • Master’s degree and twenty (20) years cumulative operational experience in ADA. Operational experience includes military, combat development, materiel development, or training development assignments.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a Capabilities Requirements Generation or TRADOC Capability Management position.
  • Requires knowledge of ADA doctrine, weapon systems and organizations specified in each task.
  • Possess ability to evaluate the design performance capabilities of emerging organizations, weapon systems, sensors, and mission command to assess whether they will mitigate required capability gaps.
  • Individual shall be familiar with Microsoft Office


  • Acquisition Level III Certification is highly desirable, but not required.
