Senior Program Manager Scheduler

JOB TITLE: Senior Program Manager - Scheduler


The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Strike Systems Program Office (AFLCMC/WWS) conducts planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term, critical capabilities in order to support the war-fighting mission of the combatant commanders.


  • Develop and manage strategic scheduling and planning documents: Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Develop and analyze IMSs on ACAT I and/or ACAT II acquisition programs using Microsoft Project or other DoD-relevant scheduling tools to include:
    • Employing network software tools and capabilities to assess and report schedule performance (including understanding performance metrics).
    • Conduct probabilistic and deterministic Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs) on IMSs.
    • Integrate elements of contractor and government schedules to account for government dependencies.
  • Analyze key program metrics, perform schedule risk assessments and program level critical path assessments, and support program reviews/briefings.
  • Assess schedule health metrics (ex. DCMA 14 point SHA criteria), analyze a program’s earned value (including integrated baseline reviews), and be able to manipulate complex IMSs to determine critical and driving paths to major milestone events.
  • Assist in milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparation, staff coordination and decision documentation preparation.
  • Assist in implementation of weapon system contractor performance status systems.
  • Assist the SPO in surveillance of weapon system prime contractor and subcontractor performance.

Support risk management/assessments and process improvement.


Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

  • TOP SECRET security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and background investigation current within the past 6 years.
  • Master’s Degree with 10 years of relevant DoD acquisition and scheduling experience or Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of relevant DoD acquisition and scheduling experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project.
  • DoD acquisition Program Office experience.


  • Experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or SCI environment.
  • Five years working on an ACAT I or II DoD acquisition program as either Program/Project Manager (PM), deputy PM, or Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead.
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System.

WORK LOCATION: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH
