Senior Program Management Specialist

A Senior Program Management Specialist to assist government personnel perform a wide range of system deployment management activities.  The Senior Program Management Specialist will work with diverse team managing large tasks with a high level of complexity and risk; providing guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks and management of highly complex projects.   Coordinate with Planning Yards in resolving of technical comments and issues for CANES installation packages; assist in creating ship alteration packaging strategies, tasking and processing for new capability upgrades.   Track and report CANES installation schedules, status and configuration by platform.  Track and report hardware and software deliveries, post-production modifications, report issues and assist in issue resolution.  Develop and deliver presentations and lead/facilitate client meetings.

Designations/Certifications:  Must meet eligibility requirements for access to federally-controlled information and facilities at the Secret level. PMP and/or DAWIA Level III in program management required.

Knowledge:  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to write reports and correspondence in clear concise language in the appropriate form and style.

Experience:  Minimum of 10 years Program Management experience in Defense industry/Department of the Navy or comparable Government Agencies. Minimum of six (6) years of program management experience with Navy C4I Systems. Minimum of four (4) years of experience with a Navy Afloat Network Program (such as ADNS, CANES, SubLAN, and AI). Five or more years of experience in network installation package coordination, integration planning and scheduling, equipment delivery alignment, planning yard coordination and installation team collaboration is highly desired. Experience with ship C4I installation coordination is acceptable.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required. Degree in Engineering, Systems Management, Information Technology Systems or Business Administration is desirable. MS or MBA preferred.
