Senior Program Management Specialist – Ground Operations Support

Senior Program Management Specialist – Ground Operations Support needed to coordinate ground operations activities between local Operational Level (O-level) personnel, Intermediate Level (I-Level) personnel, and Depot Level personnel (in addition to preparation and maintenance of administrative and management).  This Ground Operations Support will need to be familiar with MUOS O-level, I- Level, and Depot level ground responsibilities to successfully coordinate between these three levels as one of the primary Ground Operations support duties.

 Provide administrative support, and project management support services to assist the Director of Ground Systems Development and Operations Maintenance and staff in the preparation and maintenance of administrative and management data, project schedules, action items, progress/special reports and supporting documentation, and management reviews.  The Senior Program Management Specialist – Ground Operations Support will create and submit the required data, schedules, action item reports and reviews as assigned.  Attend and provide support for various meetings, conferences, and working groups within the time schedule determined by the requester.

Designations/Certifications:  Subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to federally-controlled information and/or facilities.  Active Secret Clearance is required.  Defense Acquisition Corps, DAWIA Level III Life Cycle Logistics, DAWIA Level I Program Management, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Knowledge:  Acquisition and Program Management approaches and techniques.  Satellite Communications operations and logistics.  Possession of advanced, polished oral and written communication skills.  Ability to develop, edit and perform quality control of reports, presentations, directives, correspondence, and other documents.  Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

Experience:  Minimum of 2 years direct experience in MUOS Ground Systems Support and Integrated Logistics.  Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.  Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to write reports and correspondence in clear and concise language and in appropriate form and style.  Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks. Capability to manage/multi-task.

Education:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (4 years of specialized experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).
