Senior Engineering Data Manager

JOB TITLE: Senior Engineering Data Manager

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Strike Systems Program Office (AFLCMC/WWS) conducts planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term, critical capabilities in order to support the war-fighting mission of the combatant commanders.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports all aspects of engineering data management and requirements for an ACAT I weapon system program from development through final inspection and acceptance of the weapon system.
  • Creates and maintains Engineering Data Management Plans and Engineering Data Activity Records Files as well as planning and executing Engineering Data Guidance Conferences and In-Process Reviews (IPRs) of engineering drawings.
  • Process requests and track nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs).
  • Plans, executes, and participates in formal program design reviews, technical meetings, and working groups as applicable to provide DM perspectives and resolve any DM issues.
  • Monitors delivery of Contractor prepared data by establishing procedures for receipt, inspection, acceptance, and access.
  • Ensures engineering/technical data is maintained and available, to include numbering control logs, to support airworthiness plans, certification and compliance.
  • Evaluates and processes Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Variances (RFVs), Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), Advance Change/Study Notices (ACSNs), temporary, safety and permanent modifications, and technical manual change requests (AFTOs 22 & 252) for adequacy, completeness and compliance with directives.
  • Ensures appropriate engineering/technical data management requirements are covered in all assigned program contracts.
  • Ensures engineering/technical documentation in the form of specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), engineering drawings, technical manuals, etc., are accurate.
  • Ensures Item Unique Identifier (IUID) and configuration identification requirements (e.g., nameplate) are established and adequately defined within the engineering data packages.
  • Ensures the Program’s Intellectual Properties Strategy includes data rights and conforming data rights markings are applied in accordance with the contractual requirements.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • SECRET security clearance with Background Investigation within the last five years.
  • 10 years of relevant relevant CM/DM experience in government and/or private industry.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and background investigation within the last 5 years.
  • ACAT I or equivalent program data management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
