Senior Corporate Accountant

Senior Corporate Accountant

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly/annual financial statements.
  • Prepare performance measures and other financial information.
  • Review budget to actual results and advises management of trends.
  • Track property market values monthly, track compliance and region.
  • Verify, review and analyze property and entity level general ledgers on both cash and accrual basis.
  • Responsible for general and advanced accounting functions and for meeting accounting department calendar deadlines.
  • Prepare workpapers and other schedules for internal and external auditors and tax personnel.
  • Prepare financial presentations and/or variance explanations in support of accounting management.
  • Interact with other accounting team members, asset managers, property managers and all other areas of the company to ensure prompt resolution of issues and achieve maximum efficiency of operations.
  • Perform research on accounting treatments for accounting transactions.
  • Keep abreast of new industry developments, regulatory changes, management requirements, accounting system updates, procedures, etc.
  • Plan, prioritize and coordinate tasks.
  • Prepare advisory and profit participation fees, record and transfer funds.
  • Coordinate Test of Controls audit.
  • Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
    • 3+ yrs. Accountant level experience


    • CPA preferred - Required to advance from this position
    • Commercial Real Estate accounting experience
    • Real estate accounting software or Yardi experience
    • 3+ yrs. experience in a recent Corporate Accountant role; heavy financial reporting experience
