Senior Configuration Manager

Our client is a recognized Information Technology solutions provider. Founded in 1998 and based in Reston, Virginia, it is a CMMI Level 3 Certified company with an established reputation for excellence and on-time delivery with a consistently high customer satisfaction rating from its Federal Government and private consulting contracts.

They are currently seeking a full-time Senior Configuration Manager in Montgomery, AL.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is currently conducting a search for a professional and experienced Senior Configuration Manager to join its team. Working with Subject Matter Experts in Life Cycle Management, our client will be at the forefront of next generation technology to provide one authoritative source of data, improved data accuracy, and reduced data duplication. Their complete services include: planning, design, test, update, documentation, implementation, development, sustainment, and fielding of advanced systems effectively optimizing technology at the National level.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing guidance to other configuration managers and CM compliance across the program. • Responsible for ensuring proper configuration and change management processes are followed and updating the CMP when necessary. • Lead the CCB meetings prioritizing requirements, change Proposals, PRs, and discrepancy reports (major, minor, etc.) and coordinating, administering, and monitoring CM activities. • Maintain requirement conformance by auditing delivered software ensuring that changes are associated with an approved requirement. • Participate in risk workshops identifying risks, mitigation places, and action items. • Maintain the risk management plan. • Responsible for ensuring configuration management and requirements management processes conform to the BES Process Directory (BPD). • Maintain a technical and administrative management of baselined products for the Civil Engineering (CE) system. • Maintain a system to track, report, and audit CE Systems Cis. • Maintain tacking of change proposals, PRS, and discrepancy reports. • Maintain CM control of approved release CM items into production. • Perform periodic audits of the CE Systems Cis. • Managing and controlling the CMP, work products, and tools. • Identify and place external deliverable software products, designated internal work product, and designated support tools used by project personnel under configuration control. • Prepare preliminary/final software release packages, migrating software from development to test, and finally prepare production software for release to CIE and DISA. • Serve as the administrator for CM tools and applications.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 10 years of experience. • MS/MA degree preferred but not required (may be waived by years of experience). • CompTIA Security +CE.

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

• US Citizenship status is required and an active Secret Clearance; must successfully complete the government's security process (required).
