Senior Accountant


Our client is a professional services company specializing in logistics engineering, information technology and international development. They provide resources to assist public and private sector organizations to accomplish their mission through improved productivity, cost savings and the leverage of scarce resources. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for their Corporate office in Greenbelt, MD. JOB DESCRIPTION The Corporate Senior Accountant will assist the Controller in the following areas:• Corporate Financial Reporting• Budgeting• Cashflow Projections• Interfacing with multiple Business Systems• Calculations of Indirect Rates• Interface with DCAA Auditors• Contract Close-outs• Incurred Cost Submissions REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • 10+ years in the Federal Government accounting environment• Preparation of Month-end Closing and Financial Statements• Ability to develop forward pricing model and Indirect Rate structures• Develop and assist with annual budgets and financial plans• Working knowledge of DFAR and FAR in order to work with DCAA Auditors• Capabilities to interface with other business systems and write query reports DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• A candidate who meets minimum educational background with a strong understanding of accounting information systems (CostPoint, JAMIS, Earned Value systems, Oracle Financials or any relevant accounting systems that is acceptable by DCAA).• Ability to work independently without direct supervisionto get the job done• Eaarned Value experience is a plus REQUIRED EDUCATION • Bachelor's Degree Required Please Apply Online: EOE M/F/Disability/Vet Our Client will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
