Salesforce Developer/Engineer

The University of Pittsburgh's Computing Services and Systems Development (CSSD) department is seeking an advanced Salesforce Engineer for the Enterprise CRM team. This position requires the incumbent to design, develop, test, document and implement software to support the Salesforce application and related internal and third party integrations. Deploy high quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform - code and administer, identify, design, construct custom solutions. Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Applies system solutions to business problems through design and programming. Excellent Salesforce technical skills, as well as project, communication, and customer service skills are required to be successful in this position.Provide support and troubleshoot system issues. On occasion, some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on business load, project timeline requirements, or scheduled downtime changes. Unscheduled or urgent support outside of business hours may occur. Bachelor of Science in CS, IS, Business or related field preferred or the equivalent in experience. - Significant Salesforce Development experience, with a strong focus on CRM code development (Apex, Visualforce, Familiar with third-party and commonly used ERM tools and apps.- ERM development including: Coding, data migration tools, workflow & approvals, custom reports, dashboards, custom pages (component & controllers), custom objects & tabs, page layouts, and ETL Tools (e.g., Jitterbit, Informatica, OnDemand).- Experienced in rich front-end web development utilizing HTML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, and XML- and administration.- Hands-on design, prototyping, development, configurations, testing and other implementation activities.- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly analyze and resolve difficult problems.- Experience with Java, .NET, C++ or C# and Web Services.- Familiar with AppExchange and commonly used Salesforce Apps-App Cloud Platform development including: Apex Language, Data Loader, VisualForce Pages- Strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills, strong customer service orientation
