Safety Field Auditor



  • Conducts regular jobsite and work area inspections and completes reports noting Safety deficiencies as well as excellent Safety behavior
  • Participates in project pre-planning meetings as needed, to ensure that Safety is part of all work plans.
  • Understands and enforces OSHA and other federal, state and local standards as well as Company Safety polices for the purpose of establishing a safe work environment on all projects.
  • Conduct PPE assessments
  • Conducts respiratory fit testing and training
  • Representing the company as needed during inspections, meetings, industry gatherings.
  • Working with employees to enhance Safety performance
  • Effectively motivates people to enlist needed cooperation in implementing effective Safety requirements supporting a behavioral Safety based culture
  • Coordinates Safety information so as to inform management of new or recurring issues
  • Works with management to minimize lost time and reportable accidents
  • Identifies contractor concerns and communicates the concerns to the project manager
  • Prepares and transmits weekly audit reports to include photos, narrative and findings
  • Serve as a Field liaison for Safety concerns and issues
  • Functions as a direct contact between the Company and the Field personnel

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed, working to Safety program outcomes.
  • Ability to audit in a Field setting using solid documentation skills
  • Ability to report on results – noting changes and trends, making recommendations as appropriate
  • Desire to help people by creating a safe working environment
  • Good computer skills (Power Point, Word, Excel)

Required Experience:

  • Two or more years of safety experience preferably within the construction industry or a degree in Occupational Safety or related
  • OSHA 10 certificate and working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards preferred
  • Current HAZWOPER training and MSHA training or the ability to obtain
  • May be required to complete site specific client training as required to access sites
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
