As a Skookum Recruiter, you will be responsible for finding the best individuals whose abilities and attitude align with our company values and mission. You will be a champion for creating and maintaining relationships with potential candidates, community organizations, vocational agencies and fellow team-members. Core Responsibilities:

  • Recruit candidates through networking, participating in professional organizations, and attending various career fairs.
  • Source active candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals.
  • Identifies and develops diverse candidate pools for both active and future needs.
  • Partner with hiring Managers to understand position requirements and the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the open position(s).
  • Create job postings, advertisements, announcements, coordinates interview(s) and facilitates onboarding.
  • Screen candidate applications/resumes in relation to the position specifications.
  • Communicate detailed information on our company, position details, and compensation package to potential candidates.
  • Work with Recruiting/HR/Business Analyst team(s) on various projects and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of recruiting activities, including hiring and onboarding events.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2 years of Recruiting or Human Resource experience preferred
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System preferred
  • Must be a self-motivated, creative problem solver with the ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Must have a positive attitude, be perceptive, professional, and detail-oriented
  • Must be a great communicator, no matter whether face to face, on the phone or via email. Must be tactful, considerate and gracious to build and maintain strong, productive relationships with applicants, co-workers, Managers and professional colleges.
  • Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum’s insurance carrier
