The College is currently seeking a Program Specialist to provide program and administrative support for the Office of Global Women's Health. This position requires managing multiple activities and priorities.


  • Organize meetings for the Office of Global Women's Health, including the Global Operations Advisory Group and related technical working groups. This includes developing agendas, participating in meetings, video or conference calls, writing minutes, summaries, reports or other materials, and managing follow-up activities.
  • Gather and prepare background materials for Global Women's Health projects, including library and program research.
  • Coordinate international travel and meetings for staff and Fellows involved in global health programs. This includes managing travel arrangements, USAID and Mission Concurrences, visas, trip reports, expenses reports, and other administrative needs.
  • Triage and coordinate responses to inquiries from Fellows of the College and organizations regarding program activities.
  • Support the various program team in their efforts to implement programs. The tasks may vary from preparing and giving presentations, writing case studies, editing documents, and may include representing ACOG in partnership meetings.
  • Oversee the Central American Residency (CAFA) and ACOG program. This will include coordinating the in-service residency testing process in the participating countries, printing the residency tests, receiving the tests and getting them scored, managing committee communication (in Spanish), preparing meetings 3x a year (hotel and other logistics), and various correspondence as needed.
  • Support the Information Officer in the implementation of Presidential initiatives. This may include research on various resources, managing university partner relations, and attending conferences to convene partners if necessary.
  • Manage the GOAG annual budget and make sure funding and spending are aligned.
  • Manage the Latin American program budget.


  • Bachelor's degree required and three or more years of relevant work experience in a professional office setting.
  • Must be bi-lingual in Spanish.
  • Previous experience in international women's reproductive health issues preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Problem solving and creative thinking skills and orientation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, internet and intranet work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work both collaboratively with other administrative and program staff and independently when needed.
