The College is currently seeking a Program Director to oversee the day to day operations of the Collaboration with Ethiopian Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists to Enhance Medical Education and Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology In Ethiopia program. The Program Director will recruit, train, and support project staff, maintain collaboration with partnering organizations, and work with the Senior Director to deliver the goals of this program. This position is 100% grant funded.Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the ACOG/ESOG collaboration including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, budgeting and review and approval of work products.
  • Meet deadlines and grant deliverables on time and budget.
  • Supervise program staff as he/she coordinates program logistics including meeting preparation and follow-up.
  • Oversee the development of general program and work group-specific materials, including reports, manuals, presentations, invoices, and activity reports.
  • Maintain relationships and coordinate work with leadership group and partners organization representatives for work groups, including routinely scheduled conference calls and meetings.
  • Lead communication for ACOG with the ESOG program counterpart. Effectively support stakeholders and program partners.
  • Represent the program both inside and outside of the College at national, international, and regional meetings. Provide program updates at meetings.
  • Coordinate the work and deliverables of internal and external consultants.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variences, and contingencies that may aries during implementation and execution.
  • Manage the program budget.


Job Requirements Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's (required) or Master's (preferred) in health related field; significant background in women's health issues desired.
  • Knowledge of residency training CME, or research journals a plus
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with international global health programs required
  • Experience in program management and implementation, including meeting planning and committe/work group management
  • Ability to manage and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, to interact with a variety of persons and institutions, and to handle multiple levels of responsibility.
  • Skills in managing multiple projects; self-direction
  • Demonstrated ability to meet complex deliverables on time and on budget
  • International travel required, 30% (+) time
