Process Improvement Lead

They are currently seeking a full-time Process Improvement Lead in Merrifield, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is currently conducting a search for a Process Improvement Lead to add to its team in support of the United States Postal Service's Cyber Security program. The successful candidate will experience an unparalleled large-scale enterprise environment with over 800 Information Technology systems, supporting billions of dollars in annual revenue, supporting a diverse user base spread across the entire US. Responsibilities:

• Serve the client organization with various aspects of the organization's cybersecurity process improvement framework which is based on the CERT Resilience Management Model (CERT-RMM) including interpretation of Model's practices in the context of the US Postal Service. • Review and validate correctness, relevancy, and completeness of work products (a.k.a. objective evidence) generated by various CISO teams demonstrating that they have instantiated one or more of the RMM (Resilience Management Model) practices. Scoring the instantiation of each of the RMM practices on a FILIPINI scale (NI=not implemented, PI=partially implemented, LI=largely implemented, FI=fully implemented). • Review and validate correctness, relevancy, and completeness of work products (a.k.a. objective evidence) generated by various CISO teams demonstrating that they have addressed (implemented) one or more of the 600+ cybersecurity improvement recommendations. Rating each recommendation either as completed or not. • Define, execute, and manage the lifecycle of objective evidence submission, storage, review, and validation process. • Report on the progress of the CISO organization's cybersecurity capability and process improvements including updating the performance metrics. • Facilitate process improvement activities across the CISO organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience. • Must have 3+ years of hands on experience in process oversight, process improvements, and process assessments, working in a large/enterprise environment. • Ability to work well in a strong collaborative team-oriented environment. • Ability to effectively present information to, and interact well with, different levels of the organization. • Very strong communication and in-person interaction skills. • Ability to be assertive to ensure stakeholders' compliance to organization's process improvement objectives. • Demonstrates attention to detail. • Strong organizational skills • Experience with model-based process improvement • Cybersecurity domain expertise and experience • US Citizenship with US based residency for at least the past 5 years to qualify for the USPS sensitive security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Process auditing experience in the Information technology and/or cybersecurity domains. • Experience with process improvement models • Previous experience with CERT-RMM • Previous experience with CMMI • CERT-RMM and/or CMMI appraisal experience
