Skookum, an award winning, non-profit organization seeks a dynamic and dedicated Payable Administrator to support our mission of “Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities”. The Payable Administrator must uphold our core values; Partnership, Diversity, Integrity, Quality and Commitment, to ensure that our customer meets their mission and we meet ours.

Duties & Responsibilities: The Payable Administrator is respons ible for review and analysis of all supplier invoices and expense reports. Manage Workday to provide insight on expense trends, integrity of data, and run integrations. Review assigned functional areas while ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for day-to-day accuracy of recording and maintenance obligations to our suppliers.
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations in coordination with Financial Advisors.
  • Analysis of expenses.
  • Review Monthly Aging Report to include ODC reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain daily/weekly/monthly required funding reports outlining cash projections and issues.
  • Verify the integrity of the Accounts Payable data in Workday
  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
  • Review and Research accounting transactions for accuracy and consistency linked to contracts.
  • Responsible for documentation of functional areas to include Training and Finance Manuals.
  • Responsible for Direct Divisions Budgets/Forecasts - Qtrly and Annually.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and coordination of State specific annual reporting requirements and sales tax reporting. Includes the research and set up of new States agencies.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Minimum BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in Accounting/Business or related industry required.
  • Must possess organizational skills to provide continuous information and task monitoring.
  • Must have strong work ethics and a positive attitude.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter and possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch with the ability to type 60-65 wpm.
  • Strong problem solving skills, accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Accounting systems and procedures and corporate procedures.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with employees, Site/Project Managers and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
