Operations Manager (SRI)

Our client is a professional services company specializing in logistics engineering, information technology and international development. They provide resources to assist public and private sector organizations to accomplish their mission through improved productivity, cost savings and the leverage of scarce resources.They are currently seeking an Operations Manager (SRI) at Ft. Wainwright, AK.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Operations Manager will be completely responsible for running the warehouse consisting of 50 plus employees, and reports to the Program Manager. Duties include: • Manages all warehouse  supply operations• Ensures customers receive quality and responsive supply support and assistance• In accordance with Work Directive, ensure qualified personnel, operational material handling equipment, and adequate facilities are available to receive, store, account for, and issue materiel to authorized customers• Anticipates changes in workload and production and responds accordingly• Interfaces with and communicates with the client• Maintains Basic Issue Items (BII) refurbishment production schedule• Forecast budget requirements for all platforms and requisitions items using SAMS-IE• Monitors SAMS-IE budget and warehouse expenditures• Maintains GFE property on hand receiptOperations Manager (KEY) – responsible for planning, directing and controlling program activities, coordinating program priorities with higher commands and providing guidance and direction to the Program Manager. The Operations Manager will provide coordination and supervision, planning and operations, administration, training and logistical support. They will review manpower and establish workload priorities for the program. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• US Army Supply or Maintenance Logistics experience• Warehouse operations experience• Experience with developing strong relationships with customers• Proven success of leading and motivating others• SAMS-E Training• Ability to motivate and develop others• Ability to build a positive working environment• Ability to understand complex problems, and develop actionable steps  to improve performanceREQUIRED EDUCATIONBachelors Degree or a minimum of fifteen years of strong leadership and management skills with the Army Supply SystemsREQUIRED CLEARANCESecret ClearancePlease Apply: M/F/D/V
