Network Engineer

Provide expertise in system administration, remediation and troubleshooting of Windows servers, CISCO Routers, and applying STIGS.  Provide engineering resolutions, build, configure and design networks using enterprise best practices.  Perform vulnerability testing and evaluation of DoD Information Systems.  Experience with VM Ware, ACAS and HBSS.  Experience on Federal or commercial network design efforts.  Position is in an office environment, no heavy lifting required.

-Advise customer in better understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and security guidelines as well as best practices in accordance with DoD guidance- Update Scorecard and Plan of Action and Milestones to reflect Enterprise Network Management System (ENMS) vulnerabilities, mitigations and remediation’s- Perform ENMS monthly and on demand retina scans and analysis- Update Symantec Antivirus Definitions weekly- Utilize retina to generate POA&M reports to the ENMS site customer- Track IAVA and CTOs pertaining to ENMS and make reports to PMW 790 via OCRS- Update retina scan engine and database biweekly to ensure current vulnerability scans are conducted- Provide input and suggestions to the ENMS Engineering Configuration Board (ECB)- Generate and track ECB requests for IAVAs and CTOs- Create/maintain program security related Enterprise Change Requests (ECRs) for IAVA/B/T, CTOs, TASKORDs, etc.- Prepare test reports for IAVM fix/mitigation and implementation- Inform operational sites of fix/patch per documented procedures- Create/maintain SOPs documenting the patching processes, ACAS scanning, etc.- Ability to review ACAS scans to include IAV and STIG related findings- Provide input to IAO for mitigation POA&Ms and C&A Plans (as necessary)

 Experience: Three Levels of Experience:1.) Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with Systems and Networks, to include three (3) of the following four (4) Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.- Experience within the last seven (7) years applying Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), configuring administering Cisco routers and Cisco switches to a network enclave with more than 100 devices.- Experience on Federal or commercial network design efforts within the last five (5) years. Note: Experience may be concurrent.2.) - Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience with Systems and Networks, to include three (3) of the following four (4) Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training.- Experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), configuring and administering EMC storage and/or other vendor Network Access Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) products in the past seven (7) years.- Experience on Federal or commercial storage design efforts within the last five (5) years.- Experience within the last seven (7) years troubleshooting and administering enterprise compute and storage solutions VMWare, SAN, NAS, FibreChannel, FCoE).Note: Experience may be concurrent.3.) - Eighteen (18) years of hands-on experience with Network designs and installations.- Experience within the last five (5) years applying Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs), configuring administering Cisco routers and Cisco switches on a DoD or DoN network. Note: Experience may be concurrent.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Sciences or Technology, or Technical Training in Computer Networks.
