Our client is a rapidly innovative growing company who specializes in Cyber Security. They are currently seeking a NETCOM Senior Network Engineer at Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ. JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer/ Architect to support NETCOM operations at Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista, AZ.We are seeking highly motivated, technology driven professional.In this role, you will focus on design, integration, and deployment.You will provide tactical and strategic input on improving overall network operations and related projects. The selected candidate must be well versed in architectural best practices and applying them across a breadth of technologies to solve an organizational problem. You should be capable of articulating your views on the future development of technology to varying audiences, and you should understand the interaction between infrastructure and solution architecture. You will use these insights to design appropriate architectural solutions, applying architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability. You will contribute to the technical direction for the team, ensuring that technical solutions are clearly relevant to our customer’s goals, meet business needs, and contribute to the business strategy REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Lead and/or support major network projects to support new initiatives, capacity, life-cycle management, upgrades, new products and/or features, and integration.• Engage in planning, designing, upgrading, implementing, optimizing and supporting the classified network infrastructure• This includes but is not limited to  applying your hands-on experience and expert level knowledge of network firewalls, radius authentication / configuration, WAN and LAN architecture design, development, and diagramming, NAT and troubleshooting, DMZ construction and isolation, VPN technologies, network health monitoring,  routing protocols, DoDiis WAN infrastructure, storage infrastructure and storage virtualization.• Develop and evaluate alternative utilization or configuration options.• Develop processes and programs to enhance network performance and reliability.• Establish and maintain network analysis and monitoring tools; including fine-tuning, health reporting and alerting• Make recommendations to optimize stability, availability, reliability and performance of networking infrastructure.• Resolve complex networking and other technology issues with multiple parties involved• Develop process and architecture diagrams• Have initiative, ask questions, communicate, and be an expert consultant, motivating yourself and others to execute against plans brilliantly.• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts.• In order to be successful in this role, we expect that qualified candidates will have the following skills, experience, and credentials• Expertise in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level network technologies: 7+ years of progressive experience in network architecture, engineering, and administration, designing, documenting, and implementing large scale solutions.• Demonstrated skill in drafting technical network specifications and the design of complex network solutions involving multiple vendors.• Ability to drive complex network projects from conception through implementation and from discovery to delivery.• Proven ability to develop technical network specifications (requirements, drawings and diagrams).• Excellent writing skills• Proven ability with MS Office Suite, specifically advanced MS Visio and MS Project skills• Experience with the following specific technologies / products are required, at a minimum:• Experience with Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) infrastructure and routing• Experience in VMware, Virtual routing, software defined networking (NSX)• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems (McAfee) both network and host (HBSS)• Experience with network architecture for LAN and WAN technologies including design, development, and diagram creation• Experience with DSIA STIGs and baselining network devices• Experience with network devices, including wired, wireless, routers, switches (Brocade), load balancer, firewalls, and VoIP• Experience with network firewalls including Sidewinder, Juniper, and Cisco ASA 5500 series• Experience with access control protocols, TACACS+ and RADIUS, including authentication and configuration• Experience with Network Address Translation (NAT) and troubleshooting• Experience with DMZ construction and isolation• Experience with VPN technologies• Experience with network health monitoring• Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) Intelligence Information System (DODIIS) reference model / WAN infrastructure• Advanced knowledge and experience with routing protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4 / IPv6, OSI routing framework• Experience with configuration and utilization of remote datacenter management tools• Experience supporting closed / secure environments• IAT Level II (Security + or equivalent) Minimum, IAT Level III preferred• Experience with Storage Infrastructure and Virtualization, including iSCSI standard, NAS, and SAN infrastructure and configuration• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems (McAfee) both network and host (HBSS) REQUIRED EDUCATION • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.• 10 or more years of experience working in Information Technology consulting including several years in a lead or advisory role in network engineering/architecture Please Apply Online: EOE M/F/Disability/Vet Our Client will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
