Description

The successful applicant will be an Army Combat Service Support logistics subject matter expert in one or more specific field specialties, able to work within a team providing multi-functional and multi-disciplinary support to a government program management office charged with the development of futuristic operational concepts, doctrine, organization and materiel requirements within the Army Combat Service Support (CSS) enterprise.

Duties will include analyzing and solving complex logistics problems within an Army CSS environment, including an ability to plan and execute complex tasks within an operational level planning and project development. Applicant shall be able to provide project planning, analysis and execution in individual or team environments, specifically assisting in all aspects of initiating, developing, staffing and completing an array of requirements and acquisition documents within a concepts and capabilities assessment and analysis environment.

Will be knowledgeable of Army logistics Capstone, Operating and Functional Concepts specifically leading to the successful completion of JCIDS products to include CBAs (FAA, FNA, and FSA), ICDs, CDD/CPD and DICR. Successful applicant must possess knowledge of required CSS support to current and emerging warfighter requirements, and also either understand or be able to learn various aspects of how current ground forces technology and battlefield systems integrate in developing issues and attaining integrated logistics planning support solutions.

Will work individually or collectively with mid to senior government and industry personnel on a regular basis, frequently called on to assist in developing briefings, develop required products and participate as an Army logistics functional specialty SME.

The successful applicant will be able to participate in efforts to develop, analyze, and validate sustainment elements and supportability requirements for acquisition efforts; develop logistics concepts and be familiar with functional task alignment of Department of the Army staffs, TRADOC Training Center/Schools, CASCOM and CALL directorates and related agencies in developing logistical support methods, processes and policies. 

Potential projects and program areas will include: Doctrine, Operational Architecture, Requirements/Materiel Development, Quality Assurance, Life Cycle Logistics planning, Logistics Assessment, Supportability Analysis, Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), Army System Training Plans within the Logistics Enterprise, Long-Term Sustainment Strategy and Sustainment Concept Development, Support and Sustainment Requirements, Analysis of Alternatives, Risk Identification and Mitigation Strategy development. Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s technical/scientific degree, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in analyzing and solving complex logistics problems in one or more specialty.
  • Must have experience working on JCIDS documents.
  • Possess and provide the ability to plan and execute complex tasks.
