JOB TITLE: Logistician, Acquisition Lifecycle 

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Air Force Program Executive Officer for ISR & SOF (AFLCMC/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/WI, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities within the Global Hawk Division (AFLCMC/WIG) with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.  

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The employee shall assist logisticians in the evaluation of support alternatives to include, but not limited to, the development of pre- and post- award documentation for life cycle support; identifying supportability requirements for support equipment and training devices; assisting in the evaluation of Supportability Analysis (SA) studies/plans and recommend changes, improvements, or follow-on effort; assisting in the evaluation of the structure and data quality of the logistics support database; accessing and consolidating engineering and logistics data necessary to identify the detailed logistics support requirements, and monitoring SA progress. The employee shall assist in evaluating deliverable data products and summaries. The employee shall accomplish analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to conduct the orderly arrangement of all maintenance support, including support equipment, to keep systems and equipment ready to perform assigned missions to include all levels of maintenance and implementation of those levels using partnering, organic, and contractor support, if required. The employee shall define the process of evolving and establishing maintenance/support concepts, plans, and requirements to be performed during the total life cycle of the system or equipment. The employee shall accomplish Integration of Supply Support analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to accomplish all actions, procedures, and techniques necessary to determine requirements to acquire, catalog, receive, store, transfer, issue, and dispose of secondary items. The employee shall accomplish Integration of Technical Data Management analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to acquire in a timely, efficient, cost-affordable manner the recorded information needed to translate system and equipment design requirements into discrete engineering and logistics considerations. The employee shall accomplish integration of Training and Training Support (TTS) analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to manage and integrate the processes, procedures, techniques, and equipment used to train active, reserve, and civilian personnel to operate and maintain a weapon system throughout the system’s total life cycle. The employee shall accomplish analyses, write reports, recommend actions, or perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to relate logistics design parameters to systems readiness resources requirements and support cost to include reliability and maintainability, human factors, system safety, survivability and vulnerability, hazardous material management, standardization and interoperability, energy management, corrosion, nondestructive inspection, and transportability.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a minimum ten (10) years’ experience in their functional area. In addition to this experience requirement, senior personnel shall possess a Master’s degree in a field relevant to their functional area. Eight (8) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree; or, four (4) years of additional work experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for a Master’s degree. At a minimum, at least five years of any Senior’s experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must possess a current secret clearance  

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate degree in related field
  • Experience with remotely piloted air vehicles
  • Major Defense Acquisition Program experience 
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act level III certification
