Informatica Engineer


Our client is a recognized Information Technology solutions provider. Founded in 1998 and based in Reston, Virginia, it is a CMMI Level 3 Certified company with an established reputation for excellence and on-time delivery with a consistently high customer satisfaction rating from its Federal Government and private consulting contracts.


They are currently seeking a full-time Informatica Engineer in Falls Church, VA.




The position will challenge the successful candidate with consolidating individual instances of Informatica across a large virtualized enterprise into a shared instance.  The candidate will analyze the source systems to optimize data profiling, data flows, data transformations, and data cleansing to identify needed changes to migrate to consolidated services across the enterprise.  The candidate will architect designs and policies and identify the needed changes to Informatica workflows, mappings, mapplets and transformations, as well as PL SQL functions, stored procedures and DDL scripts.  In leading this effort, you will work with other architects and engineers in a collaborative team to provide the client with a successful migration to consolidated services as applications are moving to a highly virtualized architecture that is evolving into a microservices, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD), and DevOps enterprise.




•  Ten (10) years’ experience in related IT experience •  Ten (10) years’ experience in Informatica Power Center and MDM •  Ten (10) years’ experience in PL SQL and SQL/TSQL •  Ten (10) years’ experience in ETL and Data conversion development •  Ten (10) years’ experience in working with DBMS (Oracle and DB2 desired) •  Ten (10) years’ experience in Unix/Linux and ability to write complex shell scripts AIX experience a plus •  Understanding of the SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and microservices architectures. •  Understanding of JSON, XPath, XQuery, SOAP UI, WSDL Files •  Proven experience with working with clients and business partners to translate business requirements to workflow designs •  Proven experience with ETL development using Informatica Power Center •  Proven experience with Informatica Power Center administration •  Proven experience providing security administration design and policy with respect to users and privileges within all Informatica domains • Proven experience with analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions •  Proven experience troubleshooting end-to-end data integration environments comprised of data sources, workflows and transformations, operating systems, applications, app servers, and networks •  Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts) •  Strong collaboration skills with track record of taking solution ownership •  Communication skills key! Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with leadership and key stakeholders




•  BS degree in Information Technology or other related technical discipline




•  US Citizens and eligible to obtain a secret security clearance preferred
