Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day management of the human resources functions for the Office of Institutional Advancement, (OIA). The Human Resources Coordinator will develop and monitor all personnel processes and procedures within the area of human resources. Responsible for implementing diversity initiatives and directing IA staff and student internships and other outreach programs. Develops and conducts training and professional development workshops for the IA Professional Development Program; Manages hiring of all full time, part time and temporary staff. Reviews applicant resumes and makes applicant recommendations to hiring managers. Manages new staff orientation and on-boarding, new supervisor on-boarding and coaching, annual performance appraisal process; Manages sensitive HR issues for IA staff in partnership with the Office of Human Resources; Responsible for producing financial and statistical reports and conducting bench marking studies with peer and aspirational institutions. Key member of the Pitt United Way Campaign, coordinating campaign activities and making recommendations to improve campaign procedures.Candidate must be able to work independently and as a team member. Strong analytic skills required. Must be able to assess critical issues or situations that arise and response promptly and appropriately. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. 3-5 years' experience in a professional administrative or human resources position. Experience in human resources administration preferred.
