Experiment Designer MCWL/FD

JOB TITLE: Experiment Designer MCWL/FD

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

"This position is contingent upon contract award"

The Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory/Futures Directorate (MCWL/FD) mission is to identify future challenges and opportunities, develop warfighting concepts, and comprehensively explore options to inform combat development. It analyzes future operating environments and seeks opportunities to innovate, experiment wargame emerging concepts and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) solutions to enhance Marine Corps readiness and relevance through operational success.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Plans Branch of Experiment Division.
  • Develop the analytic framework for all live force experiments to include: development of objectives, hypotheses, identification of required data for collection and methods of collection.
  • Coordinate with analysts to identify reports and ensure that the data collected will support post experiment analysis and assessment.
  • Develop Data Collection and Analysis Plans, data collection guides, and databases.
  • Serve as data collection manager at the experiment site to oversee execution of the Data Collection Plan.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Prior Marine Corps command (Battalion or above preferred) or staff (Regiment or above preferred) experience planning and conducting military operations.
  • Must be familiar with the experiment process and have an ability to mesh wargames, studies, modeling and simulation, technology assessments and live-force experiments into a synchronized and complimentary plan.
  • Must be able to create a planning document that incorporates a hypothesis, objectives and methodologies to answer and achieve those goals with both objective and subjective data.
  • Must be familiar with the requirements for live-force experiments to include personnel, ranges, facilities, funding, electro-magnetic spectrum authorizations and other support needed to execute operations in a field environment.
  • Must have a firm command of the English language and the ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Must have Top Secret/SCI eligibility/access or confirmed eligibility by Central Adjudicating Facility to attain SCI access within 30 days of commencing support.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree or PhD.
