They are currently seeking an Embark Specialist in Albany, GA. JOB DESCRIPTION • Address USMC/Navy cargo issues related to standard port procedures (violation of which results in discrepancies).• Provide assistance to aerial/seaport customer service representatives regarding DOD transiting shipments.• Assist aerial/seaport customer service representatives by facilitating Marine Corps/Navy process improvements to minimize the occurrence of Marine Corps/Navy sponsored frustrated cargo.• Resolve/Process all frustrated cargo to ensure compliance with both aerial port and DOD requirements.• Monitor all cargo movements through all modes of transportation from origin to destination to determine the effectiveness of contracted transportation in meeting the Defense Transportation Time-line.• Requires functional knowledge of sea, rail, truck and air load operations.• Certified in Hazardous Declaration of Dangerous Goods.• Have working knowledge of Air Load planning and Port Support Activity requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Must have 5+ years of related experience.• Former military background is preferred REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
