Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) / Communications Engineer

Our Client creates solutions to meet the growing demand for worldwide operational and tactical communications and network infrastructure for government and commercial clients. They are currently seeking an Electronic Countermeasures/Communications Engineer in Washington, DC.


•  Provide hands on support for Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) projects. •  Provide minimal SI/PM support specific to requirements gathering and coordination with client/vendor/stakeholders.•  Work in a team environment•  Coordinate all ECM requirements, technologies, and project statuses with Program Management, Security, Field Elements, DOD Contractors and other Agencies.•  Draft and review technical SOW and Proposals for instructions on the repair and maintenance of ECM  equipment.•  Work in tandem with ECM vendors to make equipment recommendations/modifications due to specs of operating environments.

Travel overseas to:

•  Perform technical inspections, identify cause of failures, and replace Least Replaceable Unit (LRU).•  Develop and conduct training on the proper care, use, maintenance and preventive maintenance of ECM systems. •  Install and reinstall equipment as well as perform system checks, fault diagnosis, system replacements and programming of counter Electronic Warfare systems.


•  3+ years of technical and related experience in the field of coordination and technical support for modern ECM systems.•  Knowledge of Mobile Multi Band Jammer (MMBJ), EGON and THOR equipment.•  Able to install, configure, maintain, repair, T&I, operate and train ECM equipment.•  Able to track ECM equipment.•  Knowledge of RF theory and principles.•  Knowledge of practical applications of engineering science and technologies.•  Experience working with circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.•  Familiarity with mechanical tools and machines.•  Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.•  Using logic and reasoning, be able to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.•  Able to resolve complex problems by identifying anomaly and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions.
