Director of Information Technology (IT)

Oversee, manage, provide advanced tier technical guidance to, and support the professional development of a technical support staff. Serve as the process owner for all department processes, procedures, work instructions and documentation under ISO quality management control. Serve as a backup system administrator for all network, infrastructure and domain resources. Prioritize department activities, resources and travel based on organizational needs and time lines. Oversee and ensure that proper processes and procedures are being executed by department staff. Decompose enterprise-level challenges and provide scalable cost-effective solutions. Provide executive-level reporting on metrics and technical issues. Conduct personnel actions in support of department activities to include interviewing and hiring additional staff, progressive discipline (where appropriate) and annual performance reviews. Support the development of company-wide training for advanced solutions offered to end users such as creating document workflows and effective document management. Provide thought out and thorough technical advisory solutions to senior management for the development of new policy, business rules and solutions for meeting various regulations and technical compliance (e.g. DFARS). Augment technical support staff and assist with the resolution of technical support requests as necessary. Execute the procurement process for obtaining hardware and software solutions. Lead, support and/or oversee the execution of enterprise-level migrations, special projects, and market research that enables innovation and the ability for STF to offer advanced technical solutions to its customers and employees. The candidate will report directly to the STF President for all matters of technical advisory and compliance and will also be accountable to all STF Executive Directors. The candidate's primary role will be to manage IT department technical support staff while ensuring task and activity goals are achieved in a manner that aligns with the STF mission, vision and culture. The candidate is responsible for the ultimate success of the IT department and will serve as the department representative, as required, for collaboration with the STF senior leadership and Directors of other functional areas. The candidate will serve as a part of the STF senior management team and shall conduct themselves in a professional manner that directly reflects STF's commitment to ethical behavior and fostering a safe and productive workplace. Bachelor’s degree in a computing or technical field required. A minimum of 10 years of technical experience. A minimum of 4 years’ experience leading technical projects and personnel. Experience may be concurrent. Candidate must be highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products (2010-2016) Candidate must exhibit an understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems. An ability to objectively manage and collaborate with a team for the completion of tasks. An ability to provide accurate and timely status reporting at an Executive level. An ability to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing. Knowledge of industry best practices for information system security, administration, implementation, documentation, monitoring and maintenance. An ability to execute, enforce and update documented company processes. An ability to effectively collaborate with other senior management staff across functional areas. Exhibit efficient time and resource management. Exhibit the use of effective soft skills for managing personnel in a way that incorporates the highest level of ethical behavior and fosters a safe and collaborative work environment.  Industry certification (e.g. Security+, MCSA, CCNA, CISSP, CISM) desired.
