Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) Threat Intelligence Unit Analyst (TS Clearance)

They are currently seeking a full-time Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) Threat Intelligence Unit Analyst in Falls Church, VA.


Our client is currently conducting a search for a Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) Threat Intelligence Unit Analyst to join its federal client's cyber security team. The successful candidate will experience an unparalleled large-scale enterprise environment with over 800 Information Technology systems, supporting billions of dollars in annual revenue, supporting a diverse user base spread across the entire US.


The Threat Intelligence Unit (TIU) is responsible for providing timely, accurate, relevant, and predictive external and internal intelligence through enhanced collaboration, processes, and procedures. The successful candidate will work primarily with the TIU Manager, located in Falls Church, VA, but will be expected to provide TS/SCI cleared/level in-person SCIF coverage in Washington, DC, a minimum of two days a week and serve as a liaison to multiple client partners for high-side information.

• The candidate will lead cyber threat intelligence analysis and reporting, following cyber defense techniques, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). • The candidate will support the mission of the Threat Intelligence Unit by analyzing and tracking adversaries, creating and sharing intelligence both internal and external to CISO, and creating and updating cyber threat profiles for leadership. • The candidate will hold strong communication and collaboration skills, both oral and written, with excellent interpersonal and organization skills along with the ability to succeed with remote management. • Assist in providing threat and damage assessment for security incidents which may impact Customer assets. • Collaborate with technical and threat intelligence analysts to provide indications and warnings, and contribute to predictive analysis of malicious activity.


• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Cybersecurity related field. • The candidate will be a Cyber Threat Analyst with 5+ years of experience. • Over 2 years of highly relevant experience in a Threat Intelligence Unit, and/or a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) and/or a Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC). • The candidate will hold strong skills in cyber threat intelligence analysis and reporting, cyber defense techniques, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). • One or more cybersecurity certifications, such as, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), EC-Council Incident Handler (ECIH). (Preferred)


• The candidate must hold an active DoD TS-level clearance. SCI-level clearance will be a requirement thus the candidate holding an active SCI-level clearance is preferred. If no active SCI, the candidate having held a SCI-level clearance in the past would be next preferred. For all candidates, willingness to submit for and obtaining and retaining a USPS SCI-level clearance will be required.
