Clinical Support Specialist

DESC is currently recruiting for a Clinical Support Specialist. We have positions available at the Canaday House, Rainier House, and The Morrison locations.

To DESC, supportive housing means much more than a building with services. The design of the facility, staffing patterns, program values and ways of interacting with residents all combine to create a program that helps people succeed over the long term. Most DESC housing residents live with challenges that would seem overwhelming or insurmountable to the average person: mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, HIV, physical or developmental disabilities, and extreme poverty. In most cases, they are not affected by just one of these conditions, but are multiply disabled and have long histories of homelessness or frequent failures in other low-income housing settings. To increase their opportunity for success, residents in each of our 8 housing sites have access to 24-hour a day, 7 days a week supportive services.

The Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for the coordination of treatment/service planning efforts for all residents, in conjunction with other project staff and case managers from outside provider organizations.

TO APPLY: Go to for a detailed job description, salary information, and instructions on how to apply.

All DESC regular positions include paid medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurance, 403(b) retirement benefits and excellent time off benefits. New employees have the potential of accruing up to 6.8 weeks of paid time off in the first year of employment.

DESC is committed to diversity in the workplace, and promotes equal employment opportunities for all staff members and applicants. The Agency will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, marital status, or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability in any employment practice, unless based on a bona fide occupational qualification. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
