CISO Business Continuity Specialist

They are currently seeking a full-time CISO Business Continuity Specialist in Falls Church, VA. JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking a professional and experienced CISO Business Continuity Specialist to join our client's team supporting the USPS Cybersecurity program. The Preparedness Planning, Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery Team is responsible for develop CISO’s capability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from any event that disrupts, or threatens to disrupt, normal operations.Responsibilities include:• The role will be an expert in Business Continuity, ideally in the Information Technology or Information Security sector.• Provide a coordination role to support CISO Continuity Coordinator in the management of crisis and serious incidents affecting the welfare of CISO’s people and/or CISO’s critical business operations.• Coordinate the creation, review, maintenance and testing of product and department Business Continuity Plans, working with business owners to ensure these plans remain valid and fit for purpose.• Conduct regular functional assessments with teams and business owners to quantify Business Continuity requirements and identify required Business Continuity Plans enhancements.• Coordinate the creation, review, maintenance and testing of technology Disaster Recovery Plans for core CISO infrastructure services, working with Infrastructure management to ensure these plans are valid.• Coordinate the emergency communications system used by CISO and ensure that all staff are appropriately covered by this system. Conduct regular testing to validate the effectiveness of this system.• Work with functional partners to manage incidents that affect or may affect business operations.• Promote awareness of Business Continuity policy, standards, plans, processes across all of CISO.• Skilled Communicator – Able to engage and interact with all organizational/cultural levels.• Detail Oriented – Keen eye and ear for errors.• Highly Organized – Expert multi-tasker and ability to prioritize, striving for flawless output.• Collaborate with CISO technical and management staff to understand strategic and tactical business, application, or service requirements, then align with Continuity Standards. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • The ideal candidate will 3-5 years of broad range of Business Continuity experience, ideally in the Information Technology or Information Security sector.• 1-2 years technical writing experience.• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, CISSP, CEH (Preferred). REQUIRED EDUCATION • Bachelor’s Degree – IT, Cybersecurity, or Management Information Systems (preferred). REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE • US Citizenship status and Active DoD Secret Clearance (preferred), must successfully complete the government's security process (required).
