Position Overview

You will be responsible for the business analysis process for moderate size/complexity enterprise projects. You will lead the Business Analysis, estimation, and planning of a broad set of business requirements for enterprise clients using a structured requirements process. You will align the requirements to conform as much as possible to Agiloft's “standard/out-of-the-box” configurations. You will also develop the preliminary technical specification.

You must have solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong business acumen, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to manage a virtual or in-person meeting room with multiple senior stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the business analysis process for moderate size/complexity enterprise implementation projects.
  • Budget: Moderate (typically Implementation budget ranges from $200K to $700K).
  • Complexity: Moderate (one or limited phases typically involving a limited set of client departments/processes and stakeholders).
  • Duration: 3 months to 8 months.
    • Lead the business analysis, estimation, and planning of a moderate set of business requirements for enterprise clients using a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, estimating, validating) and recommending options, risks, and cost vs. benefits.
    • Assist in the development/maintenance of “standard/out-of-the-box” configurations, workflows, processes, use-cases, and artifacts that can be leveraged for large enterprise clients licensing the Agiloft platform.
    • Showcase, recommend and align requirements for large enterprise prospects/clients to conform as much as possible to Agiloft “standard/out-of-the-box” configurations - which in turn reduces project risk, cost, and timelines.
    • Develop the preliminary technical specification for enterprise projects.
    • Be able to interpret gaps in enterprise client requirements and business needs, identify possible solutions to those gaps, and suggest those improvements to client business processes to make them more effective and easier to implement (ideally, should be aligned with Agiloft's “standard/out-of-the-box” configurations).
    • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and able to prioritize requirements based on business needs.

    Problem Solving:

  • Identify, develop, and initiate innovations and solutions where precedents and procedures may not exist.
  • Work cross-functionally (typically with senior management) to offer alternate solutions and resolve more complex business analysis challenges.
    • Present and explain business/technical requirements to different groups of users including business, implementation, and engineering stakeholders.
    • Help identify and fix deficiencies in processes and procedures that impede the smooth implementation of projects.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience, with at least three (3) years of experience leading the business analysis process for increasingly complex enterprise projects in a technical client-facing environment.
    • Strong understanding of how business requirements are gathered, analyzed, documented, and translated into technical specifications.
    • Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL and the ability to learn and understand complex systems.
    • Excellent technical writing skills and ability to document software requirements in a crisp way while relating them to database table and field level information and business system processing rules and logic.
    • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate business/technical requirements and project schedules with a customer and other project team members.
    • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to learn from customers, analyze past projects, and advise top management on how the sales strategy can be improved and how reusable technical solutions can be developed.
    • Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated, and driven to succeed.
    • Good judgment and the capacity to independently evaluate situations and identify the optimum course of action.
    • Initiative in seeking ways to contribute to the success of the company that go beyond a narrow definition of job responsibilities.
    • Deals comfortably with senior management and can present and converse with people in positions of authority.
    • Possess a B.S. in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    Preferred Qualifications
