Automated Test Engineer

Our client is a recognized Information Technology solutions provider. Founded in 1998 and based in Reston, Virginia, it is a CMMI Level 3 Certified company with an established reputation for excellence and on-time delivery with a consistently high customer satisfaction rating from its Federal Government and private consulting contracts.

They are currently seeking a full-time Automated Test Engineer in Montgomery, AL.


Our client  is currently conducting a search for a professional and experienced Test Engineer to join its team as they expand their program and base of operations in Montgomery, Alabama. Working with Subject Matter Experts in Life Cycle Management, our client will be at the forefront of next generation technology to provide one authoritative source of data, improved data accuracy, and reduced data duplication. Their complete services include: planning, design, test, update, documentation, implementation, development, sustainment, and fielding of advanced systems effectively optimizing technology at the National level.


• Review system requirements for testability ensuring each requirement is precise, unambiguous, and not able to be broken down into lower level requirements. Perform assessments on all project documentation produced for content and consistency with required Business Process Design (BPD)templates • Perform assessments on all project processes and procedures to ensure they are adequate and consistent with the required BPDtemplates. • Design a test strategy encompassing all required testing activities, utilizing toolssuch as Fortify, Load-Runner, ALM, Selenium, and F5. • Develop Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES), Integrated Test Plan (ITP), TestCharter, and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) documents to adequately plan for end- to-endtesting. • Develop a data migration and interface testingstrategy. • Develop a template for System Test Procedures (STPs) and ensure conformance tothe applicable standard in purpose, format, andcontent. • Develop test procedures to test each system requirement (based on the base-lined use cases) to include positive and negativetesting. • Develop test procedures to test inbound, outbound and integrity of each base-lined interface • Ensure interface agreements and interface testing documentation is updated and maintained for each test event to include insuring interface connectivity isavailable for testevents. • Validate and manage user validations with Functional, Subject MatterExperts (A&AS) during the software configurationvalidations. • Validate, annotate, and manage user acceptancetesting. • Execute verifications and validations of system requirements at the completion of each softwareconfiguration. • Execute testing of system requirements and record all Defect Reports (DRs), Change Requests (CRs), IBM Rational Suite including HP Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) and report status or similarsystem. • Provide automated test scripts using Selenium or other government identifiedsoftware for automatedtesting. • Support Agile development for the programs by developing and updating,test processes to allow for continual processimprovement. • Provide IBM TRIRIGA support and development contract support teams byproviding test information as needed fortroubleshooting. • Maintain test scripts in Selenium and provide test results prior toa release.


• Minimum 3 years' experience. • BA/BS or MA/MS (education may be waived with an additional 5 years' experience).


• US Citizenship status is required and an active Secret Clearance; must successfully complete the government's security process (required).
