Associate Product Manager (739)

InterMetro Industries is seeking an Associate Product Manager. The Associate Product Manager, with support and guidance from more experienced team members, is responsible for product line strategy, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, identifying new product opportunities, defining the product roadmap, developing product pricing and positioning strategy, and product line maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Represents customers’ needs within the organization.
  • Monitors and reports on the sales and profits of assigned products.
  • Plans and executes sales growth and profitability improvement strategies for assigned products.
  • Works with Marketing to promote and position assigned products.
  • Researches and gathers intelligence on the competitive landscape where our products are sold and identifies the opportunities for achieving our goals within it.
  • Works with Product Development to develop new products and extensions to assigned products.
  • Works with Operations to understand and improve product production and quality.
  • Works with and trains sales to sell assigned products.
  • Trains and markets assigned products to channel and end users.
  • Researches end user and channel needs.
  • Understands and analyzes assigned products’ financial considerations (sales, profits and volume).
  • Develops and presents plans and strategies to senior leadership.
  • Assists in planning, monitoring, and/or managing budget in functional area of department.
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • 0-2 years of experience in a marketing, product management, engineering or other relevant role
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business or other relevant major (Engineering and/or MBA degrees preferred)
    • Excellent communications, organizational, and mathematical skills
    • Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas:
      • New Product Development Stage Gate Methodology
      • Customer workflow field research (ex: job mapping, ethnographic research)
      • Product positioning and roadmap development
      • Industry-specific work experience (i.e., Commercial, Foodservice, Healthcare)
