As a Skookum Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our facilities maintenance contract for National Institute of Health in Poolesville, MD. The Assistant Site Manager is accountable for assisting the Site Manager in the effective development, delivery and execution of all operational functions that contribute to the achi evement of the organization's mission, goals and values.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the Site Manager in ensuring efficient and quality service is provided to customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring all contract guidelines and regulations are met.
  • Coordinate assignments and projects with Supervisors and applicable external contractors.
  • Assure work environment and employees are compliant with all quality and safety procedures.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with representatives.
  • Makes decisions and exercises independent judgement within generally established procedures and practices.
  • Provides leadership and support to all site employees.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Three to Five years of experience in Facilities, Construction or Project Management preferred.
  • Must be a self-motivated, creative problem solver with the ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Must be perceptive, professional, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of facilities maintenance operations, worksite safety and HAZMAT procedures.
  • Valid Driver’s license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum’s insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
