


Our client is a professional engineering and information technology services firm that provides focused solutions and customer-centric support to the US Department of Defense and the US Military Services on issues of national significance.They are currently seeking an Air Integration GPS in Chesapeake VA
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Provide support to Air Integration for PMW/A 170 services including management and update of program plans and documentation• Provide alternate approaches for completion; migrating, staging and supporting briefing systems and implementing engineering practices to achieve the strategic goals and objectives related to GPS Navigation. • Develop GPS briefings including instructional course material and User Level briefings.• Develop equipment procedures including approach procedures, enrooted navigation, mission planning and troubleshooting.• Provide expertise on GPS policies and fully understand and interpret dominate policies that affect GPS navigation by US Naval aircraft.• Possess high quality English oral, written and briefing skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Educate users and acquisition personnel on the basics of GPS signals and position determination through distributed learning and instructor lead briefing.• Review briefing syllabus for USN, USMC, and USCG units to assess currency, quality control and applicability to advanced navigation principles.• Provide Engineering Assessments of Advanced GPS Navigation and develop and deliver briefs on the utility and technical aspects of the PPS GPS approach. • Provide coordination with the GPS Directorate on GPS User issues.• Resolve GPS navigation errors and problems reported to PMW/A 170. • Interface with industry and academia on GPS issues pertinent to the US Navy.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 10-12+ year’s experience with Naval Aircraft Operations and in depth knowledge of aviation principles and procedures.• Experience with Design Working Groups and functional requirement documents.• Expert knowledge of military aviation and extensive flight experience in modern cockpits.• Working knowledge of all equipment used for GPS navigation by the US Navy including tactical and civil derivative aircraft.

• BS in Tech Engineering or Technical Management field
