2021-2671 Scientific Program Manager

ERPi is currently seeking a full-time Scientific Program Manager to provide remote support to NHLBI under the National Institutes of Health (NIH).This position is an opportunity to serve as a Scientific Program Manager to support the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)’s clinical and scientific research programs. The candidate will apply program management principles to assist the NHLBI Program Manager with managing their clinical and scientific research program's key activities, milestones, and deliverables. The candidate will prepare required documents such as project documentation, schedules, budgets, reports, and presentations.  The candidate will also serve as a program liaison, regularly collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in support of the program. The candidate will identify and engage strategic partners who can support the clinical and scientific research programs' missions. The candidate will assist with coordinating and overseeing working groups, and their reports to various executive committees. The candidate will coordinate and collaborate on strategy and execution, and regularly engage with senior leadership.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in a Hard Sciences or Public Health
  • 8 years of Program Management experience, preferably with a Federal client, with 2 years supporting a scientific program
  • Strong executive presence, conflict resolution, negotiation, and persuasive skills
  • Proven experience with executing and delivering on high visibility programs/projects with significant business and technical constraints including complex organizational change and stakeholder management issues
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative and results-driven environment
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble solutions to meet client demands and needs
  • Strong problem-solving, critical, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, to include Microsoft Project, and with quantitative and qualitative data analytics

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with the NHLBI and/ or National Institutes of Health preferred
  • Background in clinical research/clinical trials
  • Prepare high quality, professional deliverables in a wide variety of formats, such as reports and presentations s, that convey information and articulate/represent client positions
  • Assistance with the development of briefings, studies and reports to client leadership and stakeholders, to include high-level working groups and senior officials
