They are currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Federal Business Development in Reston, VA. JOB DESCRIPTION Seeking a confident, resourceful and self-initiating business development leader with the ability to drive Federal business growth. The candidate will have a unique ability to use his/her relationships and develop networks, along with highly developed account management skills.  He/she will be expected to manage clients independently, make important decisions about sales approach and network development while also leveraging the strengths of the  team. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating industry partnerships related to these efforts.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development professional to bring his/her unique set of skills and relationships to a dynamic and growing company.Specific responsibilities include identification, qualification, and capture of Federal programs, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer. Additional responsibilities include support of associated proposal efforts.This position requires at least ten years of business development experience in pursuit of Federal IT services solicitations valued at $50M or greater. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of BD experience• Strong experience with Federal contracts required including IDIQs and GWACs such as Alliant• Technical program and/or prior IT/COTS experience• Demonstrated success record of executing customer call plans• Effective fostering of industry partnerships• Exceptional relationship management skills• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills• Self-motivated, organized and creative• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance• Exceptional relationship management skills• Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills• Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process, with particular experience using GovWin IQ• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty• Interest in working as part of a small company, with awareness about the opportunities and challenges that come with a highly adaptive environment• Work towards sales and revenue goals as established in partnership with the COO REQUIRED EDUCATION • Bachelors Degree Please Apply Online - EOE M/F/Disability/Vet Our Client will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
