Description 

Responsibilities:

Leading Business Development activities associated with identification, qualification, full capture and bid activities, and how to transition new business opportunities into operations. Marketing/coordinating and submitting responsive bids, a general understanding of contract terms and conditions, risk identification and mitigation and ensuring post-win customer satisfaction. 

Successfully identifying and winning large scale single award programs within the Health and Energy related markets. Winning and sell-out of Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) and Blanket Purchase (BPA) awards. Managing Business Development activities in support of a bid requiring participation from multiple organizations in a matrix environment.

Preparing and executing Strategic and Business Development plans. Developing campaign/portfolio plans and measuring success against plan. Providing capture and proposal leadership to include defining win strategies, creating teaming plans, and identifying competitive discriminators.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of Business Development experience.
• Demonstrated history of winning competitive acquisitions is required, as is knowledge of current marketing and sales practices within the government.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of our HHS and Energy customer, as well as other services and agencies, and proven experience in identifying emerging markets.
• Excellent communication skills are required, as are good interpersonal skills and an ability to inspire confidence and provide the business development leadership for this Business Unit.

Additional Qualifications:

• Breadth and depth of knowledge of multiple Health and Energy customer organizations with current business development contacts within multiple agencies, Maintain contacts with the leaders of the services acquisition, requirements developments, doctrine and training organizations. Operationalizing Vision and Strategy.
• Demonstrated record of developing and implementing successful, comprehensive capability portfolio/line of business/campaign level business development plans implementing the Corporate/Group/BU vision and strategy.
• Conducting analyses of market opportunities and performing a gap analysis between customer needs and current group offerings to identify potential future capabilities.
• Proven record of setting measureable objectives to achieve a strategic end to include identifying the ways and means for accomplishing those objectives.
• Ability to envision the interfaces, interdependencies, and activities between multiple programs and captures at a line of business and/or capability portfolio level.
