Tactical Data-Link Systems Analyst

Tactical Datalink Systems Analyst to support the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) 5.0 Office of the Chief Engineer (CHENG) and its large-scale Fleet Experimentation Program supporting its Information Warfare mission.  SPAWAR experimentation supports Trident Warrior (TW), Allied, and Coalition interoperability and experimentation events in collaboration with other Navy commands, DoD agencies/laboratories, Science and Technology (S&T) activities, Allies and Coalition partners, academic organizations, and other experimentation stakeholders across a wide spectrum, which ensures development of innovative approaches and rapid development of products that solve problems and identify gaps for the Fleet.

The Tactical Data-link System Analyst will support the SPAWAR CHENG by supporting Department of Defense (DoD) operational experimentation in support of coalition forces and provide tactical data-link analysis, planning, coordination, and test execution in support of experimentation projects.  The Analyst will be required to participate in meetings and support Fleet and Allied experimentation events to support the objective of continued development, growth, and vision for the Navy’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Information Warfare (IW) capability.  The work location will on site at the SPAWAR Old Town Campus (OTC) and some travel will be required.

Designations/Certifications:  Secret Clearance is required.

Knowledge:  Have excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform high quality, detailed work. Have excellent writing and communication skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience:  A minimum of two (2) years of experience operating Navy Tactical Data-link systems supporting Link 16 and Link 11 networks operations. Specific experience with JTIDS, MIDS, CDLMS, C2P, LMMT and/or ADSI and associated interfaces with Combat Weapons systems is desired.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. (An additional four (4) years of specialized expertise may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree).
