Command and Control (C2) Systems Analyst

Command and Control (C2) Systems Analyst to support the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) 5.0 Office of the Chief Engineer (CHENG) and its large-scale Fleet Experimentation Program supporting its Information Warfare mission. SPAWAR experimentation supports Trident Warrior (TW), Allied, and Coalition interoperability and experimentation events in collaboration with other Navy commands, DoD agencies/laboratories, Science and Technology (S&T) activities, Allies and Coalition partners, academic organizations, and other experimentation stakeholders across a wide spectrum, which ensures development of innovative approaches and rapid development of products that solve problems and identify gaps for the Fleet. 

A C2 Systems Analyst will support the SPAWAR CHENG by supporting Department of Defense (DoD) operational experimentation in support of coalition forces and provide detailed analysis, planning, coordination and execution in support of experimentation project.  The candidate will be required to participate in meetings and support Fleet and Allied experimentation events to support the objective of continued development, growth, and vision for the Navy’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Information Warfare (IW) capability. The work location will on site at the SPAWAR Old Town Campus (OTC) and some travel including shipboard visits will be required.

Designations/Certifications:  Required: Secret Security Clearance.

Knowledge:  Have excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform high quality, detailed work. Have excellent writing and communication skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  Desired: Have Linux and/or UNIX Operating System (OS) systems administrator experience.

Experience:  Former Navy Operations Specialist (OS) with Global Command and Control System Maritime operations and administration experience supporting real-world operations and exercises. Prefer experience in supporting/conducting allied and/or coalition operations to include sharing of common operational picture, chat, radio communications and use of collaboration software tools. Have a minimum of two (2) years of military operational experience utilizing Navy C2 systems shipboard or at a shore command.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. (An additional four (4) years of specialized expertise may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree)
