Senior Inventory Specialist

They are currently seeking a Senior Inventory Specialist in Mechanicsburg, PA.  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain/Inventory Specialist to provide supply chain management, inventory, and warehousing support for a large Navy Program.  REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Ability to travel as required (all CONUS) to provide inventory support at Naval Warfare Centers (NWCs), Naval Shipyards (NSYs) and various Naval Support Activities (NSAs) as needed; travel time and duration will vary • Lead personnel in the inventory and accounting of NAVSEA Sponsor Owned materials• Coordinate the processing of excess Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) for redistribution to Navy Real-time Reutilization Asset Management (RRAM) sites which will be available for issue to fleet components, or for transfer to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Disposition Services sites for reutilization, transfer, donation, sale or disposal in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) regulations • Maintain program metrics for all project related inventories, transitions, and dispositions • Responsible for staff training, guiding team leaders, and monitoring employee work performances • Collect OM&S Team Monthly Progress Report deliverable for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information to customers. • Manage the Operating Material & Supplies (OM&S) Reduction and Reutilization (R&R) Program budget• Track excess OM&S material movement through field activity reports and Navy ERP data pull; update metrics and graphs• Provide management support to analyze responses to OM&S data calls and develop executive summaries• Review changes to existing DOD, SECNAV and NAVSEA policy instructions affecting OM&S• Assist in conducting the biennial container inventory of all NAVSEA owned and controlled intermodal containers and equipment• Navy ERP experience is preferred but not required. • Perform other material management duties as needed• Experience with Navy supply management, material management, and inventory procedures are required.
