Material Handler / Warehouse Shipping and Receiving

Position Description Work Hours: First Shift - 6:30am to 2:45pm Second Shift - 2:30pm to 10:45pm Third Shift - 10:30pm to 6:45am Provides support to all production machines by supplying raw materials and supplies as required by scheduling to produce items, unload inbound supplies, inspect and maintain current inventory of inbound supplies. Assists with pulling orders. MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A CLAMP TRUCK. • Unload, inspect and document inbound raw materials both manually or with equipment such as clamp truck, forklift and pallet jacks • Keep required raw materials and supplies at all production centers (pallets and un-palletized bales) • Take periodic physical counts of inventory as requested by management, ensuring the accuracy of such counts. • Store raw materials in an organized, traceable fashion • Keep area clean and orderly (includes warehouse area, scrap room, dock area and aisles) • Pull orders • Wraps, packages, and ships goods • Follow all company safety, GMP and AIB policies and procedures • Keep work area clean and organized • Perform and follow Preventative Maintenance schedules • Perform Master Cleaning Schedule assigned tasks • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and able to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objectives. • Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned Desired Skills & Experience • High School Diploma or equivalency AND 1-3 years of related experience • FORKLIFT & CLAMP TRUCK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED • Ability to work unsupervised • Must work in conjunction with the scheduling department to fulfill production obligations • Must possess organization and time management skills • MS Office Experience Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, job jackets, technical procedures, and procedure manuals. Ability to fill out inventory reports, usage logs, product labels and written communication to supervisors and co-workers. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers and customers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
