Where: Bremerton, WA  

Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt  

Wage: $12.00/hr.

Skookum, an award winning, non-profit, government and commercial contractor seeks a personable and reliable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

The Front Desk Receptionist position supports Skookum’s Home Office by providing constant coverage to the reception area, serving as a point of contact for customers, vendors, employees and applicants, and providing back up coverage in the Customer Service staff member’s absence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Answer main switchboard, screen callers for appropriate contact and route callers accordingly.
  • Greet all internal and external customers and visitors as they arrive.
  • Respond to general phone, email and walk in inquiries, routing requests to appropriate staff as needed.
  • Receive deliveries and ensure packages are routed to appropriate department and personnel.
  • Create and maintain Home Office mailboxes in an orderly and neat fashion, pick up mail from Post Office, distribute mail.
  • Refer internal and external applicants to posting page of website; assist applicants with completing applications either at online kiosk.
  • Print, copy, scan and fax documents as requested by administrative staff.
  • Provide customer service and quality control support in the absence of the Customer Service/ QC staff member to include receiving, documenting and routing customer feedback and complaints, as well as service requests.

Job Requirements:

  • Clerical or Receptionist experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be perceptive, professional, and detail-oriented.
  • Must be reliable and consistent, excellent attendance required.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills, be able to interact with a diverse population effectively and courteously, and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Valid Driver’s license required. Ability to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum’s insurance carrier.
