They are seeking a Oracle DBA in Crystal City, VA
The candidate chosen for this position would be the primary DBA managing several Oracle instances in a dynamic development environment.
•Responsible for data administration support to include database schema design, Oracle software installation, database creation, database maintenance, and database optimization.
•Responsible for PL/SQL software development and maintenance for stored procedures and packages that provide a business logic foundation for enterprise applications.
•Responsible for working with the software development team to design the business logic functionality
•Defining and implementing the PL/SQL interface between the enterprise applications and the database business logic.
•Responsible for the configuration management (CM) of the development database instances, and would be responsible for
•Working with the development team to design and implement CM processes and procedures for the schema and PL/SQL packages within the database instances.
•Responsible for interfacing with the infrastructure team to ensure that the CM processes and procedures were consistent with those utilized in production environments.
•Responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of several productions Oracle database instances.
•Work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure that changes to enterprise database software and instances occurred after progression through the development and test environments.
•Responsible for periodic monitoring of the production database instances to identify improvements that could be made to the systems to enhance efficiency and performance.
•Responsible for managing data sets received from other organizations.
•Develop processes to analyze, transform, and load data into customer enterprise database instances.
•Responsible for working with individuals at the organizations providing the data sets to ensure to the largest extent possible, that the data sets contain all information necessary for transfer to the customer's enterprise database instances.
•Develop conversion procedures for transforming data sets into a format compatible with enterprise applications
•Work with other organizations within the customer base to develop processes for how to handle missing or inconsistent data elements.
Requires BS/BA Degree
